  ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical support to management and staff personnel to include functions such as correspondence, copying documents, documenting client correspondence, filing and filling in for other administrative support staff as required.  Individual must build rapport over the telephone and in person, presenting information in a professional and accurate manner.

 

This position involves utilizing available technology to perform specific responsibilities efficiently; assisting clients in a pleasant and professional manner; handling general internal and external communication and correspondence clearly and concisely; and promoting a favorable image of the agency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 
Must have excellent verbal and written skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload.  Must be able to juggle priorities to support multiple individuals.  The position’s tasks include creating spreadsheets, composing email and written correspondence, creating and managing databases, maintaining paper and electronic files, and creating documents such as newsletters and press releases.

 

EDUCATION:

 
Minimum requirements are a high school diploma and good office skills with at least three years of varied office experience.  A College degree is preferred.
